This 1965 Vespa VBB 150 is powered by a 149cc two-stroke single paired with a four-speed manual transmission and equipped with a trailing-link front end, rider and passenger seats, a spare tire with a cover, two locking storage compartments, and an 80-mph speedometer.
The bodywork was repainted in 2014 and includes a ventilated engine cover on the right as well as a locking saddlebag on the left. Additional details consist of a locking storage compartment built into the front fairing, a black rubber footboard covering, and chrome trim. The bike is equipped with a solo saddle, a passenger pillion, and a rear-mounted spare tire with a matching cover.
Two-piece wheels wear period-style blackwall tires. Suspension consists of a single-sided trailing-link front end as well as a swingarm that is built into the engine case and mounted with a single rear shock. Braking is from drums at both ends, with the front controlled by a hand lever and the rear with a foot pedal.
The 80-mph clamshell-style speedometer is housed in the handlebar cover and contains a five-digit odometer showing just under 300 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 149cc two-stroke single is integrated with the rear swingarm and features a rotary valve design, domed pistons, and a four-speed manual transmission shifted from the left grip.
The bike is equipped with a kick-starter only, and a start-up video can be viewed above. The clutch and shift cables were reportedly adjusted in 2019.
Acquiring Vehicles on The Auctions
At The Auctions, our vehicles are sold in more different ways:
All the vehicles listed are in our storage.
Vehicles displayed by The Auctions are from our own stock or in consignment. Vehicles listed have been quality checked by our internal quality assurance experts and are available for collection at our warehouse.
Blind Auction:Â Your bid is made privately: no one sees your proposed offer (nor other active offers). You may change your offer as long as the auction period remains open. If your offer is the highest bid proposed, and the seller accepts, you will be notified of your successful submission within 3 working days after closure of the auction.
Open Auction: In an open ‘traditional’ auction, each bidder can see the highest bid and can make an offer accordingly. Once the bid is submitted you cannot cancel it. If your offer is the highest bid proposed, and the seller accepts, you will be notified of your successful submission within 3 working days after closure of the auction.
Fixed price:Â If you prefer a traditional, non-auction approach, The Auctions also lists vehicles with a fixed price. To facilitate your access to the most recent listings The Auctions arranges vehicles in a chronological way (with the most recent vehicles appearing first). This gives you, our client, the opportunity to spot the most attractive listings. Vehicles can also be sorted by their source.
